I’ve seen people running Manjaro play the Vergil DLC with no problem and I basically have no idea where to go from here, any help is immensely appreciated. I was wondering if anyone here would have the slightest idea what that “something” would be. I asked them if they knew what the issue was, and still haven’t gotten an answer. I’ve talked about this on the official github for proton and another user had mentioned having the same issue, and said “it was something with Manjaro, and switching to Ubuntu fixed it”. It was suggested to me that the game might be trying to load it using the integrated graphics on my motherboard, and running out of vram, and I’ve set up prime offloading but I can’t tell if it’s actually working. The game would crash midway through the loading screen (where I assume the game would normally be finished loading and have started playing said cutscene). I’ve used multiple versions of Proton, and even been able to play the base game perfectly. DMC5 has not been designed with grindy shenanigans in mind. For a little over a year now, I’ve been trying to play the Vergil DLC for Devil May Cry 5 on steam. So no need to worry about predatory scumbaggery. In addition to other trick actions, jumping, and DMC's classic dodge roll.ħ) Q: Does DMC5SE still have microtransactions?Ī: Both versions of DMC5 are very generous with red orbs (its currency) and gold orbs (its instant revival tokens), and there are no intrusive in-game prompts about buying MTX in gameplay or in the menus. Does this have that?Ī: Vergil uniquely has a dedicated evade performed by pressing the trick action button (O or B by default) + any direction. No more minutes spent watching the tips screen.Ħ) Q: I'm used to games with a one button dodge roll or dash. Never say never, but don't get your hopes up.Ĥ) If I own the base version of DMC5 on PS4 or XBO,and then DMC5E on the successor console, does my progress or trophy data carry over?Ī: Very fast. That includes everything Vergil related added in Special Edition.Ģ) Q: So Vergil will be DLC, but what about the other modes?Ī: Turbo, Legendary Dark Knight, High Framerate or Raytracing Modes are not coming to other platforms, from what we know. However, Vergil will be available on DLC on previous platforms on December 15th. 1) Q: Will Special Edition come to PS4, Xbox One and PC?Ī: Special Edition is only on PS5 and Xbox Series.
